A new heavy duty "Monster" sun shell for a GM Turbo-hydramatic 700R4 (TH700-R4), 4L60E, 4L65E automatic transmission. This transmission is used in various GMC/Chevrolet/Buick/Cadillac/Pontiac car and truck from 1982-up. The shell is specifically designed to improve performance and durability by replacing the stock sunshell that had so many wear issues from the factory. The way you can tell that you have this transmission is that it has a 16 bolt pan underneath. This kit is designed to keep the sun gear from wearing into the shell and causing a wobble. It will help to enhance the durability and performance of your transmission. It is a less expensive version of the "Beast" sunshell that has become so popular with transmission mechaincs (same durability, less $)
