A Transgo SK series shift kit for a Ford/Lincoln/Mercury AXOD automatic overdrive FWD transaxle. The TransGo SK series Shift Kits provide the valve body enhancements and cures for inherent design problems to make transmissions last (or just to beef up your transmission for better longevity). This particular kit is for use on a Ford AXOD overdrive transmission 1986-92 (Taurus, sable, lincoln, etc... Please email for specific applications). You can tell you have an AXOD because the bottom pan has 17 bolts and both pans should say AXOD on them. The kit is designed to update your automatic transmission with the following features:

Includes new Pressure Regulator Boost Valve with bushing, pump alignment tool and other components to achieve proper repair of valve body and unit.

Addresses Positive lube to front planet gears; reduces costly planet burnup; slide 1-2 hot; no max 1-2 hot; light-throttle 2-3 cutloose; kickdown cutloose/bang 25 mph; 2-3 long slide at high-throttle; cutloose and clangs at low speed, erratic shifts; slide 3-4 with bump; no 4th, rough 1-2 cold. Creates a much more durable unit.
