The TEC brand torque converters sold by Online Transmission Parts and included with our remanufactured transmissions are not ordinary torque converters. Every aspect of their remanufacture is carefully monitored by to exceed the standards of all other torque converters available (including new). Each unit is individually checked and tested several times along the assembly process. Tolerances are checked to very high specs . Torque converters are machined and balanced to higher standards than is normal in the industry. Pads are even machined to insure a perfect fit. Even the new parts are checked to high quality standards. This is a UT656SLSTM tow matrix extreme duty super low stall automatic transmission torque converter used in Dodge truck with the Chrysler Torqueflite A618 (aka 47RH or 47RE) overdrive transmission behind 5.9L Cummins Diesel engine from late 1993-2003 (they also used the non-lockup in some 1993 applications as well as 48RE in some 2003 applications, so please inquire for specific applications). This is the lockup converter for use with lockup transmissions (easy way to tell it is lockup is the input shaft is not splined all the way to the front - there is a smooth pilot surface for the front 3/4" or so). It is always a good idea to replace your torque converter any time you do work on your transmission (since you can't inspect or repair a torque converter). This tow matrix converter will add life to your transmission. This torque converter has been completely remanufactured by an technician. It has been programmed for super low stall heavy-duty use as well as a billet steel cover for superior heat resistance, and can be installed in place of your stock unit with no modifications whatsoever. The price includes a $250 core deposit charge that will be refunded when we receive your old converter.
